The armchair is usually the last piece in a room – and the one that shows whether the seating arrangement comes together. Our armchairs come from Flou in Italy, from the same programme as the sofas and sofa beds, so covers, colours and proportions can be matched to each other. Trying them needs no appointment at Nüschelerstrasse 30 in Zurich, Monday to Friday 10 am to 7 pm, Saturday 10 am to 6 pm.
What the First Few Minutes in the Chair Decide
Sit the way you would at home – with a book, not bolt upright for two minutes. How deep you sink in, how high the backrest finishes and how easily you get back up only show themselves once you're sitting. Combining Armchair and Sofa – Without Looking Like a Matching Set
An armchair doesn't have to be the same model as the sofa, but it has to relate to it. Two approaches work: the same cover in a different shape – calm and coherent – or a deliberate contrast in colour and material, in which case seat height and proportion should match all the more precisely. Covers are chosen with the sample in hand, because screens shift colours and daylight in your own room looks different again. Bring a floor plan, measurements or a photo of your sofa, and we'll lay the samples side by side and go through the options in the showroom in concrete terms.
Availability and Delivery
Which armchair models and covers are on display at any given time changes; give us a quick call if you want to see a particular model. Delivery and assembly are handled Switzerland-wide with our own team, for stock items usually within 48 hours; we can arrange part payment. At the Imperial Interiors showroom at Nüschelerstrasse 30 in 8001 Zürich – no appointment needed, Monday to Friday from 10 am to 7 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. We're happy to tell you which armchair models are on display beforehand, by phone.

Armchairs by Flou from Italy, whose Swiss distribution we handle exclusively. They come from the same programme as our sofas and sofa beds, which is why covers, colours and proportions can be matched to each other.
Can I order the armchair in the same fabric as my sofa?
Within the Flou programme, armchair and sofa can be configured in the same cover variant, provided the fabric is approved for both models. We check which combinations are currently possible against the manufacturer's documentation and lay the samples side by side for you.
How long does delivery of an armchair take?
If the finish you want is available in stock, our own team delivers and assembles it Switzerland-wide usually within 48 hours. Individually upholstered armchairs are made to order; the lead time follows the manufacturer and is given as binding before you order.
