Italian Design in Zurich
Italian Furniture in Zurich – Flou, Natevo, Dallagnese and More
You don't buy Italian furniture for the label, but for the houses behind it. In our showroom at Nüschelerstrasse 30 in Zurich stand beds and sofas by Flou from Meda, light furniture by Natevo, wardrobes by Dallagnese from Friuli, lighting by Melogranoblu, fragrances by Locherber Milano and outdoor collections by Unopiù. Five minutes' walk from the main station, no appointment needed. Whatever you like, we deliver and assemble across Switzerland – with our own team, usually within 48 hours.
The Italian houses in the showroom
Which Italian furniture brands do we carry in Zurich?
In our showroom at Nüschelerstrasse 30, six Italian houses stand side by side: Flou from Meda in the Brianza, with beds, sofas and sofa beds; Natevo, Flou's sister brand, with furniture that has LED light permanently built in; Dallagnese from Friuli, with furniture and wardrobe systems from the Night, Wardrobe and Living collections; Melogranoblu with lighting; Locherber Milano with fragrances and accessories; and Unopiù with outdoor collections. Alongside these come two connections to Italy you won't see on a shelf: Italian Fit Out makes fully bespoke Italian furniture for us, and our own label NUVOSETTE processes Italian fabrics in Switzerland. What's currently on display changes – advice and quotes are available for every model in the collections.
What sets Italian furniture apart – and what can be proven
A lot gets claimed about Italian design; less can be proven, but what can is more concrete. Flou was founded in 1978 by Rosario Messina in Meda, in the heartland of the Italian furniture industry, and is still run today by his three children. The Nathalie bed by Vico Magistretti received, according to flou.com, the Compasso d'Oro ADI in 2020 for a product's lifetime achievement. What you can check in the showroom is more telling than any origin story anyway: seams, covers, fittings, the weight of a wardrobe door. Flou beds have fully removable covers, which allows cleaning and later replacement of the fabric (manufacturer's statement). What else workmanship can be judged by, and which houses stand behind the big Italian names, our guides show.
Italian light design and accessories from Italy
Light isn't an afterthought in our range. Natevo, Flou's sister brand, builds LED light directly into furniture – the piece glows itself, rather than being lit from outside. Melogranoblu contributes lighting and light objects, Locherber Milano fragrances and accessories that round out a room rather than fill it. One clarification, because the brand often turns up in Italy lists: Bomma is not an Italian maker but works with Bohemian crystal glass – we carry it, but it doesn't belong in this list. The lighting can be viewed switched on in the showroom; no product photo shows how a light actually works in a room.
Italian furniture made to measure – and Italian fabrics
Standard sizes don't fit every floor plan. With our partner Italian Fit Out we realise fully bespoke Italian furniture – from a single piece through fitted wardrobes and libraries to a complete interior. Planning happens with us in Zurich: measuring the room, clarifying needs, handling materials – the initial consultation and initial concept are free of charge. The second route to Italy runs through fabric: our own label NUVOSETTE makes beds and bed linen from Italian fabrics, processed in Switzerland; NUVOSETTE beds start at CHF 3'900 including VAT. If you like Italian design but need a size the catalogue doesn't offer, this is the path in between.
Italian furniture across Switzerland – delivery and advice
The showroom stands in Zurich, delivery covers the whole of Switzerland: with our own team and our own logistics, usually within 48 hours, including assembly. Many products are available in stock – whether a particular model is currently in stock, we tell you on the day; stock items are delivered as soon as payment is received. When you buy a bed, we take your old one away at delivery free of charge on request and dispose of it properly. Part payment is possible. Advice is given in English, German, French and Italian – handy with Flou, Dallagnese or Unopiù, since fabric numbers, dimensions and collection names are in the Italian original. The initial consultation, a first visit to your home and the initial concept cost nothing.

Can I view Italian furniture in Zurich without an appointment?
Yes. The showroom at Nüschelerstrasse 30 is open Monday to Friday 10 am to 7 pm and Saturday 10 am to 6 pm; trying the beds and sofas needs no appointment. For an in-depth consultation we recommend booking one. It's a five-minute walk from Zurich Main Station.
Do you deliver Italian furniture across Switzerland?
Yes. Our own team delivers and assembles across Switzerland – stock items usually within 48 hours. Many products are available in stock; we check a model's current availability on request. Part payment is possible, and when you buy a bed we take your old one away free of charge.
What does Italian furniture cost at Imperial Interiors?
For Flou, Dallagnese or Unopiù, price depends on model, size, fabric and configuration – we give it openly in the showroom or by phone. Guide prices exist for our own label: NUVOSETTE beds from CHF 3'900, NUVOSETTE mattresses from CHF 2'800, each including VAT.
Is Bomma also an Italian brand?
No. Bomma makes lighting from Bohemian crystal glass and so doesn't belong to the Italian houses in our range. We carry Italian light design through Natevo and Melogranoblu; we show Bomma in the same showroom, but with its own provenance.
Free and without obligation – showroom visits also welcome without appointment.
