Luxury Bed Linen in Zurich – Fabrics You Notice at Night

We spend a third of our lives between the sheets – and yet bed linen is often the last thing anyone thinks about when buying a bed. At Imperial Interiors it is part of the concept: our own label NUVOSETTE makes bed linen from Italian fabrics and premium towelling, produced, according to the manufacturer, to the OEKO-TEX standard. In the showroom at Nüschelerstrasse 30 you can feel the difference between the weaves – and find the linen that suits your bed, mattress and sleep climate.

All about bed linen

What Matters in Bed Linen

Fibre and weave decide how bed linen feels: according to materials-guide sources, cotton can absorb several times its own weight in moisture without feeling wet; percale is woven fine and cool, sateen flows and feels warmer, linen is robust with a character of its own. What suits you depends on your sleep climate – in the showroom you compare the qualities side by side instead of guessing from product photos. Our bed linen guide explains the details, with sources.

NUVOSETTE: Our Own Label

NUVOSETTE grew out of more than twenty years of bed consulting – as an answer to the question of why good sleep should stop at the linen. The bed linen is made from Italian fabrics, alongside premium towelling for the bathroom; production follows, according to the manufacturer, the OEKO-TEX standard. It rounds out the NUVOSETTE beds and mattresses into one continuous sleep concept.

Advice Instead of Guesswork

The best place to buy bed linen is where the bed itself is understood: knowing how warm you sleep and which mattress lies beneath changes the recommendation. Advice in the showroom is without obligation – and if you are buying a bed from us, it is easy to plan the linen at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

Which bed linen does Imperial Interiors carry?

Our own label NUVOSETTE: bed linen made from Italian fabrics and premium towelling, produced, according to the manufacturer, to the OEKO-TEX standard – on display and ready to feel in the showroom at Nüschelerstrasse 30.

Percale or sateen – which is better?

Neither – they are different weaves for different sleepers: percale is fine-threaded, matte and cool, sateen is flowing, gently lustrous and warmer. If you tend to run warm at night, percale is often the better choice; our guide explains the differences in detail.

What does OEKO-TEX mean?

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is a testing system that checks textiles for more than 1'000 harmful substances; bed linen falls under product class II. NUVOSETTE's production to this standard is a manufacturer's statement.

Can I touch the bed linen in the showroom?

Yes – that is exactly what it is there for: feel the qualities side by side, during opening hours without an appointment (Mon–Fri 10 am–7 pm, Sat 10 am–6 pm).
