Where serial furniture ends, made-to-measure work begins: the fitted wardrobe that uses the sloping ceiling, the kitchen that suits the floor plan, the bathroom that feels like a room rather than a catalogue. At Imperial Interiors you plan with us in Zurich – manufacturing is handled by two partners we chose deliberately: Italian Fit Out for fully bespoke Italian furniture, and the Swiss joinery Schreinerei Sümi for interior fit-outs, kitchens and bathrooms.
What we make to measure
Two Partners, Two Strengths
With Italian Fit Out we create fully bespoke Italian furniture – from single commissions to complete interiors, including fitted solutions and libraries. For interior fit-outs, kitchens and bathrooms we work with Schreinerei Sümi: founded in 1993, run since 2024 by a master carpenter with a Swiss federal diploma, with its own workshop in Herzogenbuchsee. According to the manufacturer, their range spans interior fit-outs, individually made kitchens and bathroom design – we bring design, material and manufacture together.
How a Made-to-Measure Project Unfolds
It starts with a conversation in the showroom at Nüschelerstrasse 30 or at your home: measuring the space, clarifying your needs, feeling the materials in your hand. The concept follows – the initial consultation and initial concept are free of charge and without obligation. Only once the design and quotation are right does the project go into production; we coordinate delivery and installation Switzerland-wide.
When Made to Measure Pays Off
Whenever the room breaks the rules: sloping ceilings, alcoves, old-building heights, open floor plans. And whenever a piece of furniture is meant to outlast a trend – a bespoke wardrobe or a kitchen made to measure is built for the exact place it will stand. Combined with our interior design consultation, the result is a home that exists exactly once.

What does a piece of made-to-measure furniture cost?
That depends on size, material and finish – a serious figure is only possible once we have measured up and drawn the concept. The initial consultation and initial concept are free of charge; the quotation is broken down transparently.
Who makes the furniture?
Depending on the project, our partners: Italian Fit Out for fully bespoke Italian furniture, and Schreinerei Sümi (Herzogenbuchsee, since 1993) for interior fit-outs, kitchens and bathrooms. Planning and responsibility stay with us in Zurich.
Do you also do complete kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes – kitchens are individually made in styles from modern to country house, bathrooms from minimalist to luxurious, for example with wooden washstands. Planning runs through our interior consultation.
How long does a made-to-measure project take?
It depends on the project – made-to-measure work takes production time. We set out a realistic timeline with the quotation, so you know where you stand from the start.
Do you also plan single pieces, or only entire rooms?
Both. From a single fitted wardrobe to a complete interior fit-out – the scope follows your project, not a minimum order.
