The azado story begins in 2010 at a wedding: an Argentine asado – hours of grilling over embers – inspired a grill that did not yet exist. Around ten years of development later, Azado AG from Wittenbach SG now builds the eighth generation of its grills.
Every premium grill is handmade in the St. Gallen manufactory and Swiss Label certified; around 80 percent of production takes place in Switzerland. Stainless-steel bodies, fittings in walnut or heart ash – built to last: “An azado grill is for life.”
The range spans from the A4-format mini grill through four freestanding sizes and built-in versions to complete outdoor kitchens – from a compact ceramic kitchen to a 2.8-tonne kitchen in Calanca stone.

The innovative gas ignition brings the charcoal to a glow in around six minutes – asado pleasure without the long wait.
Height-adjustable grate
The heart of the asado principle: the distance to the embers adjusts steplessly – for precise heat instead of flare-ups.
Fat-collection system
Less fat burning, less smoke: the collection system keeps fat away from the embers and keeps grilling controlled.

What makes an asado

Embers, not flames
In an Argentine asado, food cooks over glowing embers – evenly, gently and with an unmistakable aroma.
Control heat via height
Instead of turning a gas dial, on an azado you change the grate's distance to the embers – the most original form of precision.
Charcoal or gas? Both.
With the optional gas element the charcoal ignites in minutes – and if you prefer, you can also grill directly with gas. One grill, both worlds.

Every azado grill is also available as a built-in version and grows into a complete outdoor kitchen – in ceramic, wood, concrete or solid stone.
