Furnishing House in Zurich

The Furnishing House in Zurich – Collection and Interior Design Under One Roof

A furnishing house is more than a sales floor: it brings collection, advice and planning together. Since 2003 that's exactly what we've done at Nüschelerstrasse 30 in Zurich – on 430 square metres, a five-minute walk from the main station. Here you'll find beds, sofas, furniture, lighting and outdoor collections from European makers, alongside an interior design consultation that plans from a single room to a complete concept. The path to the first concept – conversation, a visit to your home, a draft – costs nothing; after that, you decide how far we go together.

What a furnishing house in Zurich should deliver

Anyone searching for furnishing houses in Zurich is usually looking for more than a single piece of furniture: what's wanted is a house that brings range, advice and planning together. That's exactly how we see our furnishing house at Nüschelerstrasse 30. On 430 square metres we show a deliberately limited selection – beds, sofas, furniture, lighting and outdoor – backed by an interior design consultation that plans from a single room to a complete concept. So you don't have to buy furniture first and then look for someone to plan it, or the other way round. Concept and furnishing come from the same hands, with the same contacts, and delivery and assembly are handled by our own team. Since 2003 we have accompanied more than 6'000 customers this way.

Interior design in Zurich: from a single room to a complete concept

Our work on interior design begins wherever you're standing. Sometimes that's a bedroom that isn't working; sometimes a whole flat after a move; sometimes a house furnished from the ground up. We plan layout, furnishing, light, colours and materials – and we'll also tell you when a room needs less than you think. Up to the first concept – conversation, a visit to your home, a draft – there are no costs to you; only after that do you decide whether and how far you go with us. Advice is given in English, German, French and Italian. If you're only looking for the planning service, the details are on our interior design page.

From the first conversation to assembly: how a project runs

It starts with a conversation – in the showroom during opening hours without an appointment, or at your home. We listen, take measurements and present an initial concept; up to this point there are no costs to you. If the draft and quote work for you, we order and coordinate the dates. Delivery and assembly are handled Switzerland-wide by our own team, usually within 48 hours. We carry beds and many other products in stock; whether a particular model is available right now, we check on the day. Part payment is possible, and for larger projects the same contact stays responsible from concept through to assembly.

Comparing furnishing houses: what to look for

If you're comparing several furnishing houses in Zurich, a few sober questions help: Can you try the beds and sofas? Is there planning that goes beyond the single piece of furniture – and what does it cost? Do fixed, in-house teams deliver and assemble? And is anyone still reachable after the purchase? With us you can try beds and sofas without an appointment, the initial concept is free of charge, our own team handles delivery and assembly, and we have been at the same address in Zurich's city centre since 2003, a five-minute walk from the main station. You're entitled to demand these answers anywhere – including from us.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a furnishing house and a furniture store?

A furniture store sells furniture; a furnishing house plans with you. At Imperial Interiors, Nüschelerstrasse 30 in Zurich, the two belong together: you'll find beds, sofas, furniture, lighting and outdoor in the showroom – and the same contacts will, on request, plan the single room or the whole flat alongside it.

What does an interior design consultation or home furnishing cost in Zurich?

The initial consultation, a first visit to your home and the initial concept are free of charge and without obligation at Imperial Interiors. Whatever planning work follows depends on the scope of the project and appears transparently in the quote before you decide.

Where do I find your furnishing house in Zurich?

At Nüschelerstrasse 30, 8001 Zürich, a five-minute walk from the main station. The showroom covers 430 square metres and is open Monday to Friday 10 am to 7 pm and Saturday 10 am to 6 pm. You need no appointment to try the beds and sofas.

Do you also furnish single rooms, or only whole flats?

Both. Space planning ranges from a single room to a complete concept – a bedroom is as much a project as a whole flat. You decide the scope; there's no minimum order. Advice is given in English, German, French and Italian.

How quickly is delivery and assembly done?

Delivery and assembly are handled Switzerland-wide by our own team, usually within 48 hours. Beds and many other products are available in stock; whether your model is currently among them, we check on the day. Our fitters take the old bed away at delivery – free of charge, if you mention it when you buy.
