To furnish your home, you don't have to go into town first from here: the first step can just as well take place at your home, and it costs nothing. What becomes of it – a bed, a sofa or a concept for the whole flat – you decide afterwards.

Where the Knonaueramt Lies

The Knonaueramt is the name for the Affoltern district, the part of the canton of Zurich between the Albis ridge and the Reuss. Affoltern am Albis gives the district its name; the A4 motorway runs through the area towards Zug in the south and Zurich in the north. For a furnishing house in the city, that's a region that has to be actively served – and that's exactly how we treat it: with appointments on site, rather than expecting customers to travel here repeatedly. Our delivery area covers the whole of Switzerland; Affoltern am Albis and the surrounding municipalities are naturally part of it.

How to Buy From the Knonaueramt – Step by Step

First, a conversation, by phone or email, in which we clarify what it's actually about. Second, the visit to your home: we take in rooms, measurements and lighting situation – this first visit is free of charge. Third, an initial concept with suggestions, likewise free of charge and without obligation. Only after that does the question arise of a trip to Nüschelerstrasse 30 in Zurich, where the models stand: trying beds and sofas needs no booking there, Monday to Friday from 10 am to 7 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 6 pm. If you'd rather reverse the order, you can do that at any time.

Delivery, Assembly and the Old Bed

We deliver and assemble Switzerland-wide with our own people, usually within 48 hours. Assembly is done by the same team that delivers – when putting together a bed or a wardrobe, experience with the product counts. Beds and many other products are available in stock: what's in stock goes straight out to you as soon as payment is received. Because stock shifts daily, we give specific availability in conversation, not on this page. Our fitters take the old bed away free of charge and dispose of it. For larger purchases, part payment is available.

Yes, both. Delivery and assembly are handled Switzerland-wide by Imperial Interiors' own team, usually within 48 hours once available. An existing old bed is taken away free of charge on the same trip and disposed of.

Can I pay for a bed or a sofa in instalments?

Part payment is available. The terms are discussed before you buy and set out in writing. Ask about it in the consultation – even when the purchase covers several rooms.
